The Start
Why I’m creating this blog and what to expect from it
1. Why I am doing this, and why now
I am a rising junior a dna member of the high school class of 2028, located in LA. I am doing this because I am an aspiring engineer, wanting to go either into aerospace/automotive/mechanical engineering or finance, and telling a large community of experts in these fields as well as other people who want what I want could be a great help not only to me but to you as well.
2. What kind of community am I looking to build?
I am hoping to build a community of people interested in engineering, finance, programming, or any combination of the three. Whether you’re a student like me, someone already working in one of these fields, or just someone curious about what I’m doing, I hope you’ll find something useful here.
One of the biggest reasons I’m making this blog public is because I know there are a lot of people who are trying to learn the same things I am. If sharing what I learn, what mistakes I make, and what projects I build can help someone else, then this blog has done its job.
3. What will I be doing this summer?
Over the next few months, I will be following a self-study plan focused on engineering, finance, and programming. Some of my goals include learning Python, studying aerospace engineering concepts, analyzing real company financial statements, building finance and engineering-related projects, and documenting everything publicly.
I will also be completing courses and certifications, creating projects for GitHub, and publishing weekly updates here so anyone interested can follow my progress from start to finish.
4. What can you expect from this?
You can expect a quality, weekly post that has every detail about my experience, research, and programming that I do during the week, as well as what I learned from it, and how I plan to implement it in the future. My hope is that at least one person who reads my blog can take something valuable away from this. I will be posting every Saturday for 12 straight weeks just for this summer, and this blog may continue through the school year.
